Thembalitsha Foundation is an umbrella organization that encompasses over 10 different projects that serve people in need through health, education and training programs throughout the Western Cape. I was tasked with rebranding the organization in 2011 to visually unify the different projects working within the foundation. It had been operating steadily for over 10 years at that time but it was still relatively unknown and the vision was to increase fundraising efforts not only within South Africa but also in the UK and US. To do this we needed to have one visual representation that communicated who the foundation was and would become a familiar image over time.
Connect Network is a collaborative network of NPOs and churches working together for women and children at risk, to see communities transformed in South Africa. They have been operating for more than 10 years and have over 90 organizations in their network. Their impact is quite strong in the Western Cape and their name is well known. I worked with the Executive Director to streamline the current branding and bring a cleaner, simpler feel to their website, annual reports and other communications.
Viva is an international children’s charity passionate about releasing children from poverty and abuse. They grow locally-fed networks who are committed to working together so that children are safe, healthy and able to fulfill their God-given potential. I worked with their Uganda based network, CRANE, to create teaching materials for elementary school teachers throughout the country.
I created many direct mail pieces for AT&T as well as for the U-verse part of their business. Working with copywriters, illustrators and photographers, I was able to execute fun, distinct pieces of marketing that stood out in the consumers’ mailboxes. Rudolph got the liquid velvet treatment!
